Plastic Bubble

Runway designers tend (or try) to reflect the cultural, social and lifestyle changes that the current generations experience so it’s no wonder why the Spring/Summer 13 collections showcase a tremendous amount of Futuristic trends. 

However, the most interesting and incredible span on this trend is the Plastic WRAP trend that I could spot at various shows. Where does its inspiration come from? Online frenzy? Credit cards and digital lifestyles? Here are some examples:

      Actually, plastic and futuristic inspirations come from the 60’s… But they keep returning and it’s interesting to see how they are connected to social changes within each generation. Thanks for writing back 😉
